Presto is a FUN and accelerated piano program that is more than just piano lessons. It builds the foundation for TOTAL musicianship. In Presto, your child will receive an incredible foundation in all of the following areas: proper piano technique, vocal training, advanced music theory, ear training, sight reading, solfege, music history, music appreciation, composition, improvisation, transposition, advanced rhythm study and so much more!
In these small group classes, kids learn from and inspire each other all while having a great time! It's the perfect formula for cheerful practicers. Kids in Presto want to come to class, and willingly practice at home as they naturally want to perform well with their peers, similar to a team mindset. As they progress and develop good practicing habits, practice becomes a challenge and a pleasure more than a chore.
Proper piano technique is implemented from the very first lesson. Children are taught how to correctly distribute their body weight on the bench and how to utilize their weight to play the keys. Proper piano technique is important for the health of the finger joints and carpals and is essential for producing a rich sound with the keys.
